How to Change Your YouTube Channel Name and URL

As a content creator on YouTube, it’s important to have a channel name and URL that accurately represents you and the content you make. Luckily, you can change these at any time to better align with your brand. Here’s a quick guide on how to change your YouTube channel name and URL:

Step 1: Go to the YouTube Studio dashboard.

To change your channel name and URL, you’ll need to access the YouTube Studio dashboard. Log in to your YouTube account and click on the “Creator Studio” button to open the dashboard.

Step 2: Go to the “Customization” tab.

Once you’re in the dashboard, click on the “Customization” tab to access your channel’s customization options.

Step 3: Click on the “Basic Info” section.

In the “Customization” tab, click on the “Basic Info” section to view your channel’s basic information, including the channel name and URL.

Step 4: Edit your channel name and URL.

To change your channel name, click on the edit icon next to your existing channel name and enter your new name. To change your URL, click on the edit icon next to your existing URL and enter your desired URL (note that you need 100 subscribers before you can get a custom URL link for your channel).

Step 5: Save your changes.

Once you’ve made your desired changes, click the “Save” button to apply them to your channel.

Keep in mind that you can only change your channel name three times every 90 days. Additionally, if you have a verified channel, you will lose that verification when you change your channel name. However, these are small sacrifices to make in order to have a channel name and URL that accurately reflects your brand and content. So go ahead and make the change – your viewers will appreciate it!
