How to Appear Offline On Instagram

If you want to take a break from social media or just don’t want to be bothered while you’re scrolling through your Instagram feed, you might be wondering how to appear offline on Instagram. Luckily, there are a few different options for going offline or “invisible” on the popular photo-sharing app. Here are three different ways you can do it:

Option 1: Use the “Airplane Mode” Feature

One of the easiest ways to appear offline on Instagram is to simply turn on your phone’s airplane mode. When airplane mode is activated, your phone will disconnect from the internet and all your apps, including Instagram, will be unable to connect. To turn on airplane mode on an iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Control Center, then tap the airplane icon. On Android phones, you can usually find the airplane mode option in the quick settings panel or in the main settings menu.

Option 2: Turn Off Your Internet Connection

If you don’t want to put your entire phone into airplane mode, you can also just turn off your internet connection. This will prevent Instagram from being able to connect to the internet, making it appear as if you are offline. To turn off your internet connection on an iPhone, go to the Settings app and tap on the “Cellular” or “Mobile Data” option. From there, you can toggle off the switch next to “Cellular Data” or “Mobile Data.” On Android phones, you can usually find internet connection options in the quick settings panel or in the main settings menu.

Option 3: Use Instagram’s “Offline” Mode

In addition to the above options, Instagram also has its own “offline” mode that you can use to appear offline to your followers. To use this feature, go to your profile and tap on the “Menu” icon in the top right corner. From the menu, select “Settings” and then “Account.” Scroll down to the “Privacy” section and tap on “Activity Status.”
