How To Update Apple iOS 14 On iPhone
In this quick tech how-to video, I’m going to show you where to check for iOS updates, and how to install them if there are any available.
The first I always do is check to see when the last time my phone did an iCloud backup, and do one if needed.
To find this, go to Settings.
Then, select your Name at the top of the screen.
Next select iCloud.
Scroll down until you see iCloud Backup and select it.
Here you will find out if your iCloud Backup is turned on, and the last time you backed up. Go ahead and do that now if needed. Mine was last ran last night, so I’m fine for now.
Once that is finished, return to the Settings page, scroll down and select General.
Next, select Software Update.
Here your phone will search for the latest update if one is available.
Make sure you are connected to a WiFi network and your iPhone is plugged in, select Download and Install, and then put in your passcode to start the download.
The time this will take depends on the size of the update, and the speed of your internet.
Once the update is downloaded, select Install Now to verify and start the update process.
Your phone will then reboot and install.
Enter your passcode to unlock your phone.
Finally go to Settings, General, Software Update to confirm your iPhone is at the latest iOS.
And it's that simple to check for and update the iOS on your iPhone.
