How to type in a circle in Photoshop
In this video, I'm going to show you how you could put text along a path of a circle or really any shape in Photoshop. I just got a brand new Photoshop file here that I just created 1920 by 1080 and I have a white background here and the first thing I want to do is I want to create a new layer and this is where my path layer is going to go onto. So I'll just go to shape here and the ellipse tool is the tool I'm going to choose.
I'm going to press that. Now, this is the important part up here. If you choose the shape, it's just going to create a shape. That's not what we want. We want to create a path. So make sure you use this drop-down and choose a path, and now we're set and now we could drag and create our shape. If you hold a shift, it's going to make it a perfect circle.
If you don't, it's gonna just be trash-free, transformed like this. I'm going to hold a shift and I'm going to let go. Now, we have our path. Now, the next thing is creating our texts. So I'm going to press T that's going to choose the text tool here and if I click anywhere along the path, you see. It's changing my cursor. So I just want to click here and now I could start typing
and I could just press command a, to select all my texts, change the color. Let's go with blue press okay and then I could use this popup menu here to change the fonts and just make sure it all comes around a fills the rest of it and I could change a number of other things, basically, anything you could do with text and Photoshop.
You could do here, I'm going to press okay. So at this point, you can make any other adjustment to your text file. Just double click, the text file. You could even change the font. If you don't like this font, you could change something else. I hope this video was helpful. Go ahead and try it with any path you like.
You could even create a custom path and have your text go around it and give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel for a lot more Photoshop tutorial and a lot, lot more. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you in the next video.
