How to Take Attendance in Microsoft Teams
Hey everyone. In today's quick, Microsoft teams video. I want to show you how to take attendance inside of a Microsoft team meeting. So let's say you're holding a virtual classroom here, and you want to know who joined your class when they joined it, and if they lifted. Early. It's going to show you all of that inside of Microsoft teams.
So I'm the organizer. You have to first be the organizer and if someone else has set up your Microsoft teams account like an admin, it may have to be turned on if you don't see this option, but let me go ahead and join this meeting now, and I'm going to use a different computer, so a student could join.
So you could see what it looks like when they join and when they leave. Okay. So now to see who is in my class, I could just press the show, participant icon over here and I could see that I'm the organizer of the class. I set this up and one of my students here has shown up to the class. Now, it doesn't matter if you have 50 or a hundred people showing up here, but you don't want to manually go here to see who's in this meeting or this class, let's say they left.
I'm going to actually hang up on this call and have them leave this call and again, if you have a lot of people, you're not going to notice when people drop off easily, but here's how you download the report up here under the people to have there's this little download icon again, if you're the organizer of the meeting and if this is activated in your Microsoft teams account, you should see this. If you don't see it, your admin has to turn this on in your Microsoft team's account. I'm going to press this download arrow, and he downloads it to my download folder on Mac or PC. So let me access my download folder here and as you could see, this is the latest one that I just downloaded.
I downloaded another one earlier today, but if I double click on it, It will most likely open on Excel for you if you're on a PC or numbers for you, if you are on a Mac and this is basically what it looks like, it shows the organizer's name and when they join, they will typically join first and the time that they joined and here it will show all the people that joined the meeting or the students here, the time they joined and the time they left.
So you could see if they left within a couple of minutes here, it will show you exactly that. So you could take the attendance after the meetings done and not continuously look on the side to see who's leaving and who's coming into your meeting. I hope you found this quick video useful.
