How to Share Your Screen in Messages on Mac
There is a really, really easy way to share your screen on any Mac with someone else and even take control of their screen too is built right inside of the Messages app. So a lot of people don't know this. I want it to make a quick video. To show you how to use it. So this messages app comes with every Mac.
So if you go to the application folder, for example, there is an app called messages. Sometimes it's down here too on the bottom, and you could also press the search icon on top and look for messages and go ahead and open it and you could log into it with your Apple ID. If you never used it before now, I never used it on this computer.
So I just created one by logging into my Apple ID and to start a message with someone you need to start a text message, press this option, and then type their name here and you could pick them from your contact once you do that, send them a text. So I just send that emoji right here. Because once you do this, I will appear before you do that before you send anything, you won't see this.
Once you do click it and you have two really simple options, it was right here when you press share. So press share first. You could invite me to share my screen this way. They will look at your screen, or you could ask them to share their screen. So, let me just show you what it looks like when you invite someone to share your screen, let me press mute just so they don't talk over me and this little icon appears on top over here, and it says connected. So they're viewing my screen and he starts the audio call right here so they could hear me and I could hear them anytime I could go over here and end this screen share, or I could allow them to control my screen over here. That's an option too.
In this case, I'm going to end this screen now to look at their screen, asked them to share their screen. So press this option instead and then it's going to let you look at their screen. Now, if the answer from a computer, for example, you'll see their computer screen. So if you don't want to install any other apps like zoom or other application that lets you do this exact same thing, it's built into your Mac.
So you could use it right now to control someone else's screen, or just share your screen. If you want to teach someone something. One of the most useful options I ever came across on the Mac that most people don't know about. I hope you find it useful. Please give it a thumbs up. I'll see you next time.
