How To Search Your Twitter DMs
Hey everyone in this video, we're going to talk about Twitter and the latest release of searching for direct messages inside of Twitter. So I said really great ways that, of just scrolling endlessly to your direct messages, to find something you could now search for it. This rolled out in October of 2019 for iOS only and hopefully by the time you watch this, it'll be available on Android. At the end of the video, I'll show you how to do this on twitter.com as well. So let's go ahead on the Twitter app here. I'm on an iPhone. I'm going to go to that. Envelope icon here, direct messages, and here you see that search box here.
You can go ahead and select done a search for something. So let me go ahead and search for something here and if it finds something, even as old as 2013, where did they tweeted this? You could go ahead and select that message and jump right into it and you'll even have an option on the bottom to search for older messages.
So it's that simple right here. You could search someone's username or their handle here, or groups and search right here inside of the Twitter app. Let's jump into the computer. I want to show you the exact same thing on twitter.com. So on twitter.com here, I'm on a different profile, but if you jump into messages here, right on the side, you'll get to do the exact same thing with the exact same search box here.
I don't have any conversations in my DM, but if I had any conversation. The same thing would appear. As soon as you search for something and press enter, it will show you that right messaged writing side of your DM and hopefully to Android support, we assume rollout and this box will appear on the Android messages as well.
I hope you found this quick video useful. Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for daily tech videos and I'll catch you next time. Thanks for watching.
