How to Post GIFs on Facebook
Hey everyone in today's video, I want to show you how to post GIFs to Facebook. Now you could use it as your status inside of Facebook. You can use it inside of comments and you could use it inside of messages. I'll show you how to use the built-in one that Facebook gives you, and then I'll show you how to upload GIFs that you've created, or that you found online.
If someone sent it to you, I'll show you how to upload those as well. I'll show you on the Facebook mobile app, but he's exactly the same on facebook.com. If you're using a computer to use GIFs on this status, just click to write your status. So what's on your mind and on the bottom here, there is the GIF option.
Just press that and he basically lets you search for just about anything you could think of on this page. In a moment, I'll show you how to do this when you're creating your own as well. But right here, all you have to do is search for something and you could go ahead and select one of these and then go ahead and press post right on top and it will be posted on your profile. Let me go ahead and post this on and I'll show you how to do it as a comment. Now, with this post, if I go to the comment section, I should have a little GIF icon right here. Same thing on facebook.com. Just click it and he brings you to the same page or was that before where I could go ahead and search the different GIFs here or just scroll through some of these and then just go ahead and select one of these here and then posted here by pressing the airplane icon and it will be posted as a comment and if you want to send a GIF inside of messages, all you have to do is inside of messages, press the little plus sign here on the mobile phone, and you should have the gift option here where you could again, search or select from the ones you see here.
Now to post a gift that you've created on Facebook, it best works. If you use facebook.com. So on your phone, you could go to facebook.com and not use the app, the app post set as a picture instead of a GIF. So here, I'm going to click on my status. It's going to work the same on using it in a comment or messages too, but instead of choosing the GIF option that we chose before this time, we're going to choose photo and video, and here's an example of a GIF that I've created myself. So I'm going to go ahead and select that again. You could see as dot GIF I'm going to press open and it's going to show up like this black square with the file name here that's okay. It says your gift will show after you posted so in this case, I'm only sharing it with myself as a test.
So I changed this. So if it doesn't work, everybody, can't see it and I'm going to go ahead and press post and it usually takes a few seconds for it to appear. So just refresh this page, if you don't see it right away. Well, here's the gift I created playing inside of my status. So again, if I go to the comment section and then I could choose the attached photo or video instead of GIF to steam on the bottom.
So I'll select that and let me just choose the same one, just to show you what it looks like. If you post that as a comment and it's going to prepare it right here and post it over here as a comment. Now on the Facebook mobile app. When I did the exact same process, it shows up as a picture and you'll have to convert to give into a video with different software.
So this is much, much easier. If you just use facebook.com, you could use facebook.com on a mobile browser or on the computer. I hope you found this quick video useful. Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for easy to follow, take videos, and I'll see you next time. Thanks for watching.
