How to Enable Dark Mode on WhatsApp
What's app finally has a dark mode that was released on iOS and on Android today and I wanted to make a quick video to show you how to activate it and if it's your first time here, I make it easy to follow social media and technology videos every single day. If you're on iPhone or on an Android phone to make sure you have the latest what's app update and now show you how to turn on dark mode on Android. You want to go to settings the settings icon here and then scroll down and you'll want to click the display and you should activate dark theme here. Now, a lot of apps have done it this way, where you can't just turn on a setting inside of the app and you'll have to turn your entire phone into dark theme or dark mode for the app to turn dark. So that's how you do it on Android, on the iPhone here. It's the same exact process. You basically have to go from light theme to dark theme, and then you'll get that on WhatsApp. So what's app worked with Apple and Android to make sure it's implemented this way.
Instead of a setting within the app, Instagram did the exact same thing. So let me show you how to turn it on inside of the iPhone. Go to the settings of your iPhone here and scroll down here to display and brightness and on top, you have dark mode and you have light mode. So that's how I activated dark mode to change my WhatsApp into the dark mode and then if I scroll from the top, right, to bring this command center down, I also have that quick release here. Do you see this one? Changes it from light mode here and if I bring it down and if I press that one is going to give me dark mode here to get that. Now, the only thing is you do have to have iOS 13 installed on your iPhone before this will not work and on Android, you have to have Android 10. If you have Android nine, you could still turn it on by going into the settings and turning that on inside of the settings of WhatsApp. I hope you enjoyed the new dark theme on what's an app and I'll catch you on the next video.
