How to Delete Whatsapp account
Hey everyone in today's WhatsApp video, I'm going to show you how to permanently delete your WhatsApp account on your phone, and deleting the app is not going to delete your account. So this video is not about deleting the app, but deleting your WhatsApp account. Let's jump into WhatsApp here. I'm just on the status page here.
Well, we want to go to the settings page on the bottom right and the settings page looks like this, and you should have an option in the middle of the page called accounts, press accounts, and here you should have an option to delete my account and if it's not too personal, please let me know in the comment section where you're deleting it so I can make better videos on the new chat apps that you're using.
Go ahead and press delete account here and here, because you used your phone number to sign up. You have to type in that same phone number again that you're using for WhatsApp. To delete your account, or if you change your number, you could just change your number instead, and you don't have to create a new icon with the new number.
So I'm going to type in my phone number here, and I'm going to press delete my account and it's going to ask for your feedback, which is optional. So go ahead and type that in and press next on top and now your account is not yet deleted. It's just going to give you a warning dead. If you reactivate, you will lose all your data.
So if you have archive messages and things like that, that you want to save or photos. Inside the app, make sure you save those first, then press delete my account and it will bring you back to the welcome to WhatsApp. And that means your WhatsApp account has been permanently deleted. I hope you found this quick video useful.
Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for daily social media videos and I'll catch you next time. Thanks for watching.
