How To Create A Watermark Inside Word
In this quick tech how-to video, I’m going to show you how to create and add a watermark inside of Microsoft Word.
The first thing you want to do is start with a new document.
Go to File, and then New Document.
In the Menu Bar on the top of Word, select Design.
Next, you’ll see the Watermark button on the right. Selecting that will bring up the Insert Watermark options.
Here you have a few choices.
The first is by default, No Watermark.
Next you have the ability to add a Picture as a watermark.
To use this option, you need to have an image already created and saved as an image file like JPG or PNG.
A super useful tip here is, if you regularly print documents on a letterhead graphic, you can select that image, change scale to 100%, and then uncheck washout which will allow it to be printed at full opacity. This saves you the hassle of changing paper whenever
you want to print your document on a letterhead paper.
The final option you have is Text. Here you can select what the text will say, the font and size, how transparent you’d like it to be, the color, and also the orientation.
Let’s say I’m working on a draft, I want the font to be a bit darker, and finally run diagonally across the document. I’ll go ahead a select OK and that’s it, I now have a Draft watermark on my document.
And it's that simple to create and add a watermark inside of Microsoft Word.
