How to Clear YouTube Search History on Any Device in 2018-part 1
Hey everyone in this video, I wanted to show you how to clear your search history on YouTube. We'll start on a computer and then we'll jump into an iOS device and I'll show you how to do it on Android too and the process is pretty simple. First, go to youtube.com and sign in to your account. So on the top right, you should have a sign-in option.
Go ahead and sign in to your account and once you're logged into your accounts, your account icon should show upright on the top corner and what you want to do now is click these three lines on the top left of the screen and you should have a history option hereunder library. So if you see the library tab here, you should have the history option, click that, and that will take you to this page where you should see your history.
So your watch history search history is listed here, and you could also pause, watch history. So it'll stop keeping track of your watch history. So what we want to do here is watch history. If you have this selected, you could basically go to any video here and press X that will remove that single video.
From your watch history. If you go to search history, if you click X next to any video, it will remove that from your search history, and if you clear all search history, it will just remove all search history. So you don't have to do this one at a time. So under watch history, he actually lets you remove one video at a time.
If that's what you want it to do, just like that. But clear all watch history clears all watch history all at the same time. You could also do this with comments here. So if you tap the comments here, you could actually delete comments one at a time here as well or you could click manage activity and under manage activity.
It will take you to this page where you could just say delete activity by any, if you click that, it will let you delete activity by date, or you could do it all time. If you select all time and press delete, you could do this for all Google products, or you could come down here select YouTube. So all time.
YouTube and then press delete. This will delete everything that you've done on YouTube, or you could choose different products here like Chrome, and that would do the same thing here, but you could take care of all this right inside of YouTube through here, let's jump into the phone. So I could show you that process is quick.
I'm on the iPhone here and the process of doing this on your iPhone or on an Android device is exactly the same. So what you want to do is you want to launch the YouTube app and on the homepage of the YouTube app, you should have your profile icon right on the top-right if you click that, it will give you this option to pull up the menu and the settings option is the same on iOS and Android devices. Go ahead and press settings and if you scroll down here, you should see history and privacy on Android. Also, look for history and privacy, and you might have to tap that to get into this menu, but underneath. Clear, watch history, clear search history, and pause, watch and search history all are here.
So if you click clear search history. It will give you this pop-up that says YouTube search history will be cleared from all YouTube apps on all devices. So we'll actually clear all search history and you will start from scratch. Same with watch history. If you clear that it will give you the pop-up same as true on Android, or you could pause both of them.
I hope you found this useful. Please give this a like and subscribe to the channel. I post easy to follow, tech videos every single day, and I'll see you next time. Thanks for watching.
