How To Change Facebook Ad Preference
In this quick tech how-to video, I’m going to show you how to make a couple of adjustments to your ad preferences inside of Facebook, so in the future, the ads you do see will be more tailored to you.
Now already, the AI inside of ad tracking is pretty much in the background adjusting to your tastes and trends, but what happens if say you click on a couple of ads on accident, or you no longer are interested in a subject? That’s where this can help.
To get started, head to Facebook.com on your desktop.
Next, click the down arrow in the top right.
Next select Settings and Privacy, and then Settings.
In this menu, select Ads from the menu on the left.
Here is where you will find the ad preferences for your account. The first menu we’ll look at is Advertisers. This will show you advertisers you’ve seen most recently. On the right, you can select hide ads to see less of ads like that advertiser. Click see more to go through a few more.
Next on the left, select Ad topics. There are fewer options here, but these are much broader subjects. Select See Fewer to decrease the number of ads on that specific subject you’ll see.
Finally, on the left is Ad Settings.
This section has options on where Facebook can gather info on how and who to show you ads from based on your interests. You can take a look in here and adjust if you want to, but I keep this set at default.
And it's that simple to adjust the ad preferences on your Facebook account.
