How to buy stocks with cash app
Hey everyone. In today's video, I want to show you how to actually buy and invest in stocks using the Cashapp. Now, a lot of people don't know you could do this inside of Cashapp. Cash app originally was an app to send them to receive money between friends for free. But now you could actually trade stocks. If you don't have the cash app, you could actually get it for free.
I have a link below in the description, so you could click on that and get it there and once you do. All you have to do is come down here in the cash app. This is the homepage basically, where you could type out an amount and request and pay money. I have a totally different cash app tutorial for how to use the Cashapp.
So I won't go over it here. This one is intended for trading stocks click this icon right here on the bottom of your page and you could see you have two options over here. You have stocks for trading stocks and you have Bitcoin for buying Bitcoin. So I'm going to go to the stock tab here and you could go down and click discover stocks and here you could search by category performance and things like that or you could type out the name of the company or the ticker symbol if you know that. So for example, if I want to look up Apple stock, I could go ahead and search for that and the ticker for that is APL you don't have to know the ticker because you could type out the company name, click on it here and it's going to show you how it's doing. If the stock market is open right now, which it is at this time, it's going to continue to move up and down here alive. So it's during the weekday. So it's open and I could go ahead and buy it here and follow that stock too. So I could keep track of it a little better on there, the stock tap to buy or sell.
I don't have any right now, but to buy it, I just click this right here and I could even buy a fraction of a share right now Apple stock is nowhere near a dollar or $10, but he's letting me buy a small amount of just one share. I don't have to buy a whole share and if you look right here, so standard one-time order, that's just mean he's buying whatever amounts I put in here, or I could go ahead and click on it and I could make a daily, weekly, or every two-week investment.
It has to have a $10 minimum to do that. So you could select an amount here. Let's say $20, or you could press the three dots to type in exactly how much you want to buy and then let me go back here $20 press next and you could go ahead and press continues here. Read this fine print. Make sure you qualify and you do have to go through some of these steps here before you could buy a stock for the first time. So go through the questions. They're pretty straightforward here and then you'll finally get to this page. It's going to tell you what you're buying right now. So I'm buying a fraction of one share of Apple because $20 doesn't buy me a whole share, which is $139.
But it's letting me buy $20 worth. There are no fees for purchasing stocks, and if you don't have any money in the app is going to ask you to link a bank account at some point in this process and make sure your W9 is filled out and then you could press confirm and it's really that simple to invest in stocks here using the cash app.
I hope you found this useful. I have different videos on Robinhood and other platforms where you could invest in stocks as well. So I'll put those in the description so you could compare the different apps. Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time.
