How to create a heart shape in Photoshop
      779 Views . 1 year ago

The easiest way to create a heart shape in Photoshop is by using legacy shapes under the shape menu.

Photoshop gives you access to dozens of pre-made shapes and objects you can simply choose and create in any Photoshop project.

There are multiple heart shapes to choose from.  Each one will be created in the same color as your foreground color.

You can also use layer styles to add color overlay or gradient overlay to the shape layer to color it any way you like.

You can resize any heart shape object after creating it.

How to Export Images Out of Photoshop for the Web
      719 Views . 1 year ago

When saving an image for the web, it is important to save it correctly in Photoshop.

To export your image, click the file and choose export and export as.  Don't choose to save or save for the web.

In the export settings, you'll have a lot of options for correctly compressing your image for the web.  You can start by choosing file type and Jpeg is the best file type and compression for any website or social media.

If you need transparency for savings logos, for example, choose PNG.

Next, reduce the file size by adjusting the width and the height of your image.  1200 pixels for the height should look good on any website.  Press the tab and the width will adjust automatically.

You can also reduce the quality of the Jpeg if you need to further reduce the size of the file.  You can always see the current size based on your settings on the left side.

In the middle, you can view your image side by side comparing the original and compressed image for the web.

How to Remove Background in Photoshop

Want to remove background from an image in Photoshop?

It's a really simple process with Photoshop 2020 and later.

You can get the latest version of Photoshop here: (affiliate link)

All you have to do is select the object or subject you want to keep and delete the rest.

Photoshop has a lot of selection tools, but the easier one is the object selection tool.  With this tool selected, you can simply press select subject and photoshop will do the selection automatically with one click.

Next, you can refine the selection by choosing select and mask.

You can touch up the edges here and refine your selection.  Once you are happy with your selection, save your selection as a new layer.

You can now bring in another image as your background and create a solid color shape for your background.

How To Put Image Inside of A Shape in Photoshop
      575 Views . 1 year ago

There are two easy ways to put any image inside of any shape in Photoshop.

You can start creating the shape first.  Use the Rectangle tool or keyboard shortcut U to access the shape tool.  Select the shape you want to create and drag to create that shape.  You can hold shift to create perfect circles or squares.

Next, bring your image into the same Photoshop document.

Place that image on top of the shape in the layer panel.

The first way to put an image in the shape is by clicking the layer on the top menu and choose to create a clipping mask.

The second option is by holding option/alt on the keyboard and bring your mouse in the line between the two layers, in the layer panel and clicking once.

You can still resize your image and your shape after creating the clipping mask.
